The first quarter of 2024 has been an interesting period for Film & Television applications on the iOS platform in the United Kingdom. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers insights into how the top contenders in this category have fared over these months.

Netflix saw its revenue fluctuate, starting the quarter at $216K and dipping to $180K by the end of March. Downloads also saw a decline from 62K to 49K, while weekly active users trended downwards from 3.6M to 3.3M.

Amazon Prime Video experienced a similar pattern, with revenue peaking at $178K in early January and settling at $171K towards the quarter's close. Downloads decreased from 69K to 36K, and weekly active users showed a slight uptick from 848K in the first week to 684K in the last.

Disney+ demonstrated a strong start with $896K in revenue, which saw a mid-quarter dip but recovered to $870K by March end. Downloads saw a rise in March, peaking at 53K, contrasting with a January high of 44K. Weekly active users saw a mixed trend, starting at 1.9M and closing the quarter at 1.8M.

ITVX showed a robust revenue trend, beginning at $167K and reaching up to $237K in late January, ultimately ending the quarter at around $202K. The app's downloads had a notable spike mid-quarter with 53K, but significantly dropped to 12K by March end. Weekly active users saw a peak of 285K in mid-March but decreased to 126K by the quarter's end.

BBC iPlayer, with its revenue not applicable, maintained a consistent download range between 29K and 39K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users started at 428K and experienced a slight rise to 353K by the end of March.
